Apparently I didn't give my bulbs enough credit. When they shot up in the middle of December, I was concerned. When the contractors trampled them to smithereens, I lost all hope. But alas, here they are!
Some of the daffodils in my front planter bed -- the very same bed that got trampled. The daffodils were smart enough to stay down in the ground and avoid all that. They started peeking up about a month ago. There's something else growing behind them that has yet to flower and I have zero memory of what I put there. They did get trampled.
The little purple dots might be Grape Hyacinth. I wasn't paying particular attention when I bought these obviously. There's some tulips back here as well -- the much thicker leaves in the background. They've only shown up recently as they were smart enough to realize it was still winter and they should wait it out some.
I'm so proud of the little guys for making it through. Almost all the bulbs I remember planting have shown up.
