A bumper crop

Not only did we get a *lot* of cucumbers (we actually gave some away), some of them grew to larger than Travis's head. The best part was no thick skin and barely any seeds.
I did not anticipate or plan for how vigorously the heirloom tomato plants would grow. Next year, we'll need taller, sturdier tomato cages and no 2 week vacation right in the middle of growing season. They may have toppled over but they're fruiting nicely so I've left them be this year.
A sampling of from each of our 4 tomato varieties. The top left is a Black Brandywine heirloom tomato. The top right is an Early Girl (non-heirloom). We've got the distinctive Tasty Evergreen heirloom in the middle and a handful of the Sweet 100 Cherry (non-heirloom) across the bottom.
