Pixie finds freedom.

Our friendly backyard neighbors lent us their old doggie door. (I do so love our neighbors.) They had a door built right into the house during a previous remodel and no longer needed it. The panel inserts right into the sliding patio door's tracks.
However, their sliding door must have been shorter than our so Travis built a new header block to keep it in place.
And Travis being Travis, went the extra mile and drilled holes for the retractable posts to slip into the header block making the entire structure virtually un-removable.
Pixie enjoys being able to run into the backyard on her own to find us or just sticking her head out for a look-see.

Meanwhile, I find a new shade of sunburned.

I was out front weeding my front lawn. It needed some hands-on attention. I neglected to put on sunscreen and apparently, my T-shirt doesn't quite reach my pants when I'm hunched over. I think I've shot past beet red to perhaps...purple?
